Putting AI to work for small businesses

    Freelance AI consulting

I sit side by side with small-business owners, realtors and contractors, to find the back-office tasks that eat their week, then automate them with AI agents built around how they already work. My engagements are ongoing: alongside the automations, I monitor how each business shows up in Google and AI search and keep improving it.

    Invoices in, job costs tracked

Invoices that arrive by email are read and entered into the business's local CRM with no manual data entry. An agent then tracks each job's actual costs against the estimate given to the customer.

Result: improved expense and job-cost tracking
    Reputation

    Automated review requests

When a job closes, every customer automatically gets a review request. The request suggests topics they might mention, like the service they had and their town, which helps the business show up in local search.

Result: steadier reviews that support local search

Getting contractors found on Google and in AI answers

For roofing and siding contractors: keyword research, an audit of Google and AI-search placement across the service area, and a report on how to rank. An agent-run tracker maps top search terms and contractor rankings town by town.

Result: ongoing monitoring of Google and AI-search placement

A World Cup bracket game that grew to 10,000+ users

    World Cup Bracket Challenge

I built and launched a full-stack prediction app where fans fill out World Cup brackets and compete against friends, with a custom win-probability model behind the scenes. It grew organically, and I shipped releases daily based on what players asked for.

Taking Shopping Offers to new markets and partners

Capital One · Strategic Segment Product Lead

I owned revenue, revenue per user and active-user rate for strategic segments of Offers, a merchant-funded rewards product. I led the launch into the Capital One Canada mobile app with four developers and sign-off from legal, privacy, servicing and Canada leadership, and used business cases and A/B tests to win expansions with six cobrand card partners.

An attribution engine that lets advertisers buy card-linked offers

Capital One · Emerging Products & Businesses

I led three engineers to build an internal engine that matches cardholder purchases to merchant offers. It gave the Cardholder Offers team the attribution it needed to sell card-linked offers to advertisers. I also scoped the Discover servicing and card-personalization experiences during the acquisition, with keep, rebuild or retire recommendations.

Agents that do recurring work on their own

Polish News Digest · Fantasy league commissioner

A scheduled agent reads five major Polish-language outlets and writes a weekly English digest, published to Substack, with outlet bias labels and notes on where coverage of the same story diverges. I also built an AI chatbot that serves as the "commissioner" for my fantasy football league.

What I bring

Three ways I work

Product & growth

I turn ambiguous growth opportunities into launches: business cases, A/B tests and KPIs that get partners, legal and leadership to yes, then the revenue to show for it.

Hands-on building

I ship my own products and agents with Claude Code, Next.js and Supabase, and I write my own SQL. I don't need to wait on a team to test an idea.

Small-business AI

I find the admin work that eats an owner's week and automate it, then turn search and AI visibility into plain-language plans they can act on.
